Yesterday, Mark Nicks of Cool Hand Luke made some exciting announcements, including a special reunion performance this Friday!

"2009 marks the 10th anniversary of Cool Hand Luke’s self-released ep, “so far…” To commemorate the occasion, you can now download “so far…” and the self-released full-length “I Fought Against Myself” for the first time ever. Both of these albums have been out of print for several years now, but you can get your very own digital copies at iTunes and other online digital retailers. We’re excited that these old records are finally available again, and I’m sorry it has taken so long. My fondest memories of Cool Hand Luke are from this era of the band.

Kind thanks to all of you who have been at the shows over the past month or so. I can scarcely remember a time that I have felt more loved and encouraged by the people I have had the privilege of playing for. I am now shifting gears and beginning to focus on writing, but there are a few more shows coming up. I’d love to see you at one.

If you get the chance to come to the Louisville show on Friday, you are in for something special. The three original members of Cool Hand Luke will play together for the first time in over six years (Jason Hammil-guitar, Brandon Morgan-bass, and me-piano/maybe drums/singing/talking). It will be explosive. Probably not explosive. But it will be fun and special to at least three people. I hope you can join us.
